The Art of Home, Creatively Refined.
About Me
Interior Design Business Expansion and Rebrand
I’m Gina, the founder of Refound Interiors, where I bring “The Art of Home, Creatively Refined” to life. My passion for design and craftsmanship was shaped early on by my father, who worked in construction his entire life. Some of my fondest memories are from helping him on job sites, learning firsthand how spaces come together. That experience led me to completely renovate my first home—a Cape Cod-style house—alongside my dad, and today, I continue that tradition as we restore and refine my 1725 farmhouse (with the addition of my husband this time).
Beyond hands-on experience, I hold a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning, which sets me apart from other interior designers. My background in art education allows me to approach design in a unique way—breaking down the process, helping clients understand their options, and ensuring that every decision is intentional and informed. With over 12 years as an art educator, I’ve guided students in creativity, composition, and design, skills that translate seamlessly into creating well-balanced, beautiful spaces.
As an established furniture refinisher, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and transformation, which naturally evolved into my career in interior design. I believe a well-designed home is both beautiful and purposeful, a reflection of the people who live in it. Whether refreshing a single room or refining a specific area, I’m here to help you bring your vision to life with creativity, expertise, and intention.
Let’s make your home a work of art!
Furniture Refinishing Story
It all started when I purchased my first home. It was a cute little 1937 cape cod and I was so proud I did it on my own. After doing a lot of renovations, it was time to furnish the home but my bank account was looking pretty low. So instead of settling for cheap furniture, I thought I could make good quality second hand pieces look beautiful again. Combining my background in art education with my love for interior design, I began to paint and restore old furniture. I must say I was quite pleased with the results. So was everyone else who visited my home. I would hear all the time how much they loved my furniture and where did I get it. They were always surprised when I said, "I did it" which lead to encouragement to do it as a side hustle. The next summer, during my break from teaching, I made a little hobby out of it and started selling on Facebook marketplace. The demand was there and my pieces sold! This also lead to custom requests and the launch of my refoundandrefinedfurniture Instagram page. Each year my hobby grew and now it is a little business! Part of the reason why I became an art teacher was to share my passion with others. Furniture refinishing has given be another opportunity to share a passion and help others!

Personal Life
2022 and 2023 have been the most wonderful and wild years of my life. I got married in April 30th, 2022 and then found out I was pregnant a short time later. My baby was born January 2nd, 2023 and I have been loving navigating motherhood. I took six months off refinishing furniture but I am now getting back in the swing of things!
